How can I track visitors, referrals and purchases with Google Analytics?

Tixoom lets you integrate Google Analytics to track visitors, referrals and purchases of tickets to your online Zoom events.


How to install and activate Google Analytics integration


To get started, sign in and head to the 'Integrate' tab of your Tixoom dashboard.


From here, simply enter your Google Analytics property's tracking ID (which will look something like UA-12345-00) and click 'Save'


(You can find your Google Analytics property's tracking ID from your Google Analytics dashboard - head to 'Admin' then choose 'Property Settings' and look for the section marked tracking ID. It'll be a combination of numbers, letters and dashes that starts with the letters UA.)


Once you've done that we will automatically load Google Analytics on all of your sharable event and bundle pages. There are two important things to note, regarding user privacy. We configure the integration to maintain visitors' privacy in two ways:


  1. By requesting Google anonymize visitors' IP addresses - learn more from Google here.
  2. By requesting Google not use cookies or other browser storage - learn more from Google here.

This may slightly limit your ability to do advanced link attribution and it will mean the 'returning visitors' metrics are not valid, but we feel the benefits for compliance and visitor privacy outweigh any disadvantages.
